The big hub bub is Rob Bells new book, love wins!  Sounds so sweet and tasty to the tastebuds, and its suppose to be.

If it was full of truth that showed that mankind is lost and needs a Savior, it wouldn’t taste so good to those who reject Christ.

But if everyone gets to heaven because theres no hell for humans,  than why not live anyway you want?

I would, if the death, burial and resurrection of Christ was just a huge waste of his time, and actually he must have been the dumbest Son of God to go through unbelievable suffering when his father was going to bring everyone to heaven anyway,  the jokes on Jesus!

But I’ll tell you the truth,  I’m sick of these slick preachers like Bell, and Schuller (Crystal Cathedral) who get the cash while leading souls straight to the gates of hell with no remorse.

Someday these false prophets will stand before the one they made a mockery of, Jesus Christ, and they will not be able to say, oh I was wrong, guess you are the Savior and get into heaven. too late.

Love wins when we accept Jesus right now,  God loved us enough to send his Son to give us a choice of where we want to spend eternity, heaven or hell. But if  Jesus returns today  or you die, and you never accepted him, too late, theres no second chances, your eternity is wrote in stone and its in hell.

But Gods Word says that today is the acceptable hour,  because he loves us he says if you will receive his Son today, you will spend eternity with him in heaven a place of Gods presence and fellowship.

Our God is a loving God who prepared a way for us to be with him, only a loving God would do that. But he is also a God of judgment.

And for those who have not received the forgiveness of their sin, you,  with your sin,  will receive the penalty that is due, separation from God.

I know I’ll be called a hatemonger for saying theres only one way to spend eternity in heaven and that is through Christ.

Am I saying that all of those loved ones of yours who were such good people, but believed there were other ways to heaven were wrong and that I’m condemning them to hell?

NO I’m saying they condemned themselves when they rejected the truth of Gods Word and rejected Jesus Christ.

Well, someone has got to speak the truth and for God.

If you follow the Bells of the world, you’ll miss out on what the real love of God is.

Forget your religions, forget your churches, forget your spiritual leaders, if they do not preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ and tell you, you must receive him, then your following the wrong path.

Its really that black and white.  Jesus himself said that he was the Son of God,  God the Father said that Jesus was his Son that he was well pleased with.  And Jesus said, that he was the way, the truth and the life, and that no man comes unto the Father accept through him.

The truth hurts,  and doesn’t taste good to those who reject it.

But to those who believe,  its the sweetest taste one could ever have.

For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain!!

I couldn’t help but smile when I thought about suffering & now go to dying

But its true Christians sometimes forget that living in this world is only temporary

we really won’t begin to live until we walk through – pearly gates into – presence of God

We don’t have much of an idea of what heaven is going to look like until we walk into it

The bible doesn’t give much detail, but it ought to be the goal of every believer to meet Jesus face to face at his house

I can only imagine what a Cherubim really looks like or that other thinga ma jig with 7 faces

What will we hear?

We’re told about singing, but will people be standing in groups talking with each other or will it be like New York City & people walking quickly here & there?

Will we hear the words welcome? And by who?

What will heaven smell like?

I’m hoping steak or BBQ and no vegetables or will it be like flowers?

What will it be like to walk on gold streets? Down here its going for around $1300. 00 per ounce

up there its pavement

What will it really be like to meet the OT patriarchs or king David?

To have BBQ with Paul & the other Apostles, will they just be regular guys?

These are some of the things I think about & a whole lot more

There is a certain phrase that I would like to hear from Jesus and I don’t know if I will hear it

& that is “Well done thou good and faithful servant”

I would like to hear that, but I know I have fallen so short of meeting the standards of being faithful that I’ll settle for “good try & a handshake”

I don’t know what will be said to me, but I do know that certain words have a great impact on our lives

& other words don’t mean a thing

There was a man who overheard a woman talking about her sleep habits & so he nosed in & asked her if she was a “somnambulist?

the woman got red hot mad & slapped him & shouted don’t you call me such a horrible thing!

the man looked at her & said madam a somnambulist is a sleepwalker!

She apologized

there are some words that are important, & there are some that if we never heard them ever again would be a blessing

words like groovy, narly, punk rock, every 4 letter word, dude, hey, Obama, Pelosi

But there are other words that are very important & dear to our hearts, especially as Christians

like PURPOSE

Why is this word so important?

Its important because all of us are looking for satisfaction in our lives & no one can ever find satisfaction until we have a purpose for living

& according to Phil 2:21 our purpose for living is to live for Christ & our goal is to meet him face to face when we die

Everywhere we turn today, we see dis-satisfied people & – reason why their so

dis-satisfied is because they have built their lives around things that don’t matter

things of this world will never satisfy because they bring no purpose for living

only a life lived for Christ will give you satisfaction & a purpose

When you study the life of Solomon, you realize that he was a man who had every worldly thing one could desire at that time

& yet he could not find satisfaction

he had built more than anyone had ever built & filled his life with every conceivable fleshly pleasure

people think if they had only a small portion of Solomons or Donald Trumps

riches then they’d be happy

Or they say if I only had a woman that looked like theirs, she would satisfy me the rest of my life

& yet every rich man seems to always be looking for more money & that beautiful wife didn’t satisfy neither because they go through them like water

Eccl. 2:11

Behold all is vanity and vexation of spirit, and there was no profit under the sun

Solomon relentlessly pursued satisfaction but couldn’t find it because he had no purpose for living most of his life

however, there seems to be some evidence that he finally found his purpose toward the end of his life

Eccl. 12:13

let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter, fear God and keep his commandments, for this is the whole duty of man

its sad that it takes so many Christians today to come to the end of their lives & then realize they should have lived for Christ instead of chasing worldly things

There are some Christian men who just had to have the most gorgeous woman & that woman brought him nothing but heartache

all of you have probly heard of Paul McCartney of the Beatles

what many people don’t know is he married a woman named Linda

& were married for almost 30 yrs until she died in 1998 of cancer

they only spent a few nights apart, he refused to not be with her, she was as plain looking as they come but he was faithful to her

She couldn’t sing a note or play an instrument & he began a new band called Wings

& she was in the band so they could be together along with their children when traveling

He could have any beautiful woman in the world so why did he stay with her?

it isn’t about looks, but love

when you love Jesus Christ you will find satisfaction

Theres another man that we need to consider also, he was rich & had a large family but his riches & his family was destroyed

he of course was Job

Job 1: 14-19

One tragedy after another fell on Job

if a ¼ of those things fell on us, we would be devastated, many might even scream at God & say why me?

There are some that would turn their backs on God

But look at Jobs response in 2: 20-21

Then Job arose tore his robe & shaved his beard, & he fell to – ground & worshipped

naked came I out of my mothers womb, & naked shall I return thither, – Lord gave & – Lord hath taketh away, blessed be – name of – Lord

Would that be our response?

Look at Jobs response, why wasn’t he devastated?

It was because Job had built his life around God & not things or people

he had a purpose for living & having a relationship with his heavenly Father brought him satisfaction

in all this Job did not sin nor charge God with wrong

Last week I spoke to you about suffering, & other than Christ, I’m not sure if anyone has suffered like Job & yet he praised God

Would we praise God?

To be honest, I hope I’m never tested in that way to find out what my response would be

none of us know until we’re in it

- bible says the happiest & most joyful people in the world are those who live for Christ

- saddest people are those who live for today, for themselves

- problem people have today living for themselves & for worldly satisfaction is, nothing last

Everything changes constantly, & so to live for today means that you have to constantly look for bigger & better in order to find satisfaction

But the Christian life never grows old, theres always something new & fresh if your purpose for living is Christ

But does that mean we are suppose to live our lives without pleasure? Things that make me feel good?

Many preachers condemn any kind of pleasure, but the fact is, God created this world for us to enjoy it physically

So to sum this all up, what is our purpose?  To love, serve and be obedient to God.

I haven’t been on this blog very much lately,  we’ve been so busy,  I had a funeral this week, one of the ladies in our church passed away, she was a dear woman but she died in her home suddenly. However, she had made a confession in Christ and was saved. I know we’ll meet someday in heaven.

We’ve all been watching the things going on around the world and I’m sure you have to be concerned and even anxious about gas prices going out the roof.

I know I am, I drive truck and with the way things are going I’m waiting to see if I will have a job or not with-in the next few months.

Food prices are going crazy because fuel cost gets passed onto the customer and when our government started buying our debt all of this was shoved on our markets and economically our country cannot sustain this debt.

We watch the fighting and chaos in Libya and other nations, and I know they want to be rid of dictators, but I’m afraid that the Muslim brotherhood will get control and the hatred for Jews and Christians will escalate to a boiling point. This could well be the beginning of the worlds end, the rapture of Gods people could be just around the corner.

The devastation in Japan is heartbreaking, but as I watch these folks going through this tough time, I see that there is no looting or anger, just people calmly helping each other.

These people have more grace and courage than any rioter in Wisconsin could ever hope to have.

Its embarrassing to watch these greedy union people demand that they keep their same lifestyle and perks, while the nation struggles to pay for food and gas.

It has always been greed and the want of power that has brought down every nation, and the United states is no different. We elect men and women to represent us and once they get that position, all they care about is representing themselves.

The bible is very clear that just before he returns and closes the church age, that the entire world will be in chaos and we’re getting there quickly.

Theres no better time than right now to quit rejecting Christ, get on your face before God and repent of your sin and receive Christ as your Savior, the clock is ticking.

If the Lord returns today and you haven’t accepted the Lord, there will not be a second chance, its too late for you.

Jesus said that today is the day for your redemption, don’t miss out.

Today we saw the Supreme court give their decision on the Westboro Baptist  (church?) and that they have the right to spew their hatred at our honored dead soldiers funerals.

They do have the right to free speech as we all do and it certainly needs protecting no matter how horrible and objectionable as it may be.

But just because we have protected speech, doesn’t mean we should always say what we believe.

For this group of people to call themselves a representative of our God, is an insult to our God.

No Christian who truly has been redeemed by our loving God could ever stand out in front of someones funeral and claim that God hated him and his country. What if that Soldier was a Christian? as many of them are, God doesn’t hate his own children.

Apparently Westboro (church?)  has never heard the gospel and given their hearts to the Lord because only children of Satan could spew out this much filth from their mouths.

Jesus loved this world so much that he was willing to die on a cross for everyone including westboro and gays, and baptist and catholics, murderers and anyone ever born on this earth.

Anyone can come to Christ and after they do, their language and actions will change to be more like Christ,  and by the actions and language of westboro, clearly,  they have never met the risen Savior who can also save them.

Westboro needs our prayers, that they will repent of their evil sin and start to show the love of God.

Gas is $3.40 a gallon, food and clothing prices are going up, Democrats are running for the hills,  they would rather fight against the American voter than fight against the people who stuff their pockets full of money,

teachers demanding that the tax payer continue to pay for their retirement, health care, and wages although the states are broke, but that doesn’t matter as long as they get their money, even though most children continue to grow dumber by the day, I thought they were suppose to get paid to teach? Oh I’m sorry, its about the money.

Demand nation wide health care,  even if it can’t be payed for, expect tax payers to continue educating illegal children, feed all children at least 2 meals a day,  provide child care, pay for all their pills they need for all of their mental and behavioral issues.

Tax payers must continue paying for lazy people who could work but it goes against their lifestyle of sucking off the system.

One must wonder, how long before America ceases to exists?

Theres no way a country that has rejected God,  rejected truth, dismantled marriage,  promoted evil and immorality not only here but across the globe can continue.

Our greedy elected leaders and their greedy union followers have not only sold their own souls but they’ve sold out America. I have to laugh when I see these Obama supporters rail against big oil and business that have destroyed our country when the truth is, its been greed from all sides.

Their decisions that effect Americans lives, their being in bed with union bosses,  their support of dictators across the world, their tinkering with Americas wealth, their uncontrolled spending on their wants and pet projects has bankrupt us.

Greed is what brought sin into the world with Adam and Eve, and it eventually brought them down, and the same thing is going to happen to us.

Everybody thinks its owed to me,  I should have everything I want, and if I can’t pay for it, then someone else ought to pay for it,
